Naples Botanical Gardens

Behold the beauty of this place! I’ve always been a big fan of botanical gardens, they bring serenity and a burst of greenery to our urban lives. Though we’ve lived in Naples for almost 3 years now, we’re still tourists in this city, so off we went to explore.
The kids were excited and so were we, we headed out early enough to beat the heat (yes there’s still heat late in November here in Florida!). If you’re planning a vacation, or like us enjoying a bit of a staycation in your own home town I recommend going early or even better plan a trip (like we are) to the Holiday Night Lights event they have coming up. The cooler evenings with all the lights will surely be awesome!
The entrance was awe-inspiring, I felt like I walked into a jungle, but with an actual walkway and no fear of wild animals 🙂 Your mood automatically adjusts with the greenery and feeling of serenity that envelops you.
We’re still in the throes of Covid, so being outdoors with lots of space to roam where it was just our little family pod was a big bonus. We wore masks, but given the rising temps were able to drop them to our chins while we explored solo for most of the day.
Here are some pics of our time there. But before I lose you I need to impress on you that when you visit the Fogg Cafe is an absolute MUST!! Just click the link to check out that menu. I simply couldn’t decide what to have. My husband suggested I try something different, and since I’m not usually a fan of fruits in my salad I definitely did different by choosing a Watermelon and Feta salad. It was divine! I’ve never had feta so creamy, and the cool, fresh watermelon with a zing of chiles in the dressing was perfect for a hot November day. I also consider myself a french fry connoisseur of sorts, and these fries are on my top ten list of best fries ever.
Definitely put the Botanical Gardens and the Cafe on your itinerary for a day out in Naples! Ok onto the pics!
